Training? No, not much…

I cannot understand why I am not getting serious about training for my Camino.  I get started and then I stop.

Each time I go out, I walk or hike  at least five miles, love every minute of it, but then my real life gets in my way,  or I let it be an excuse.  Since I have walked the Sarria to Santiago in five days, I know how grueling some days can be, so I am not in denial about how strenuous the Camino is.

My new boots feel perfect.  No hot spots, plenty of downhill movement.  But I need more miles on them to be sure…

I am a woman of age reinventing myself in my 70’s. I owned a restaurant for 36 years, was a high school CTE instructor in Culinary Arts, and I’m now looking for my next chapter in life. I am restless. I do know that hiking, travel, and sharing my love of food and wine will play a part in my new adventures.
