Debby went to the doctor and found out she has tendonitist in her foot.  She was prescribed no walking the Camino, for two or so days. We decided to move on.  I will walk alone tomorrow and she will bus to the next stop.  We are very optimistic that this will work and she will be on the Camino in a few days. She is sad but already her foot is feeling better.
This is our our prescription ……

I am a woman of age reinventing myself in my 70’s. I owned a restaurant for 36 years, was a high school CTE instructor in Culinary Arts, and I’m now looking for my next chapter in life. I am restless. I do know that hiking, travel, and sharing my love of food and wine will play a part in my new adventures.

  1. Hang tough Grays Harbor trekkers! I can’t look at your pictures before I’ve eaten! looks yummy! take care of your feet as I don’t imagine crawling will be better. Enjoy your rest time!

  2. Naproxen also may help. I took it when I had that knee tendon thing the last day of out trek. It was way better in 2 days of mostly resting. Thinking of you.

  3. So sorry to hear about Debbies foot; she is doing the right thing. Maybe she can hook up with some horse or bicycle guys and hitch a ride!!! I have to admit you both cross my mind several times a day, I wonder where you are and what you are seeing, eating and DRINKING:-) Looks like you are using the right medicine..
    BUEN CAMINO GIRLS…….

  4. So sorry to hear about Debby’s foot. About six months ago, I suggested I could go with you two and follow in a golf cart and be there in case of emergencies like this. The offer is still there…just let me know. Seriously, keep on trekking.
