I am getting excited about meeting Heather and Rebecca in Sarria. I honestly didn’t think we would ever share even a part of the Camino. To share the wine and food together in Santiago and Porto will be so much fun.
Some of our Camino family road the bus With us partway to start Camino late. Made me sad to say goodbye to Björn from Germany. He is such a positive young guy who always greets me with such sincere caring.

We almost didn’t make it back to the albergue before it closed! We were having such a great time with some women Camino friends that the time flew. Eva and I had our evening meal with two fellow American from New York (Rebecca) and Dotty from Annapolis, an abdominal surgeon from Germany, Helena, (who is riding a unicycle on the Camino, and our Danish midwife friend, Cecillia, who said goodbye to us this afternoon and then came back to stay in Astorga with us so that we could walk together on more day. 🥰
Excited for you to meet up with Heather. Enjoying your pictures and loving your spirit and determination. 😂👏
Sounds like things are turning in the right direction! So glad you are feeling better and have met so many good people on your journey. It was a different Camino for a different time in your life. Well done!
