Each morning starts with foot care. Since we’re staying in private rooms we have that option to do it in the morning. If you stay in the dorms room albergues, all this has to be done the night before so that you’re not disturbing anyone. So far so good with my feet. No blisters, my heel is good most of the day.

This was a hard day. 20 miles of up hill and down and a fairly hot day. The final 2 miles I just went into auto pilot and didn’t think about anything but one step at a time and getting to your destination for a hot shower. My heel was screaming, my quads were screaming, my neck was screaming; this truly was a hard day. But as always the Camino provides. Our albergue was amazing. It had a great shower and wonderful food and was right on the Camino.

Thinking of you on this most difficult and dear quest. May your pain equal the experience of your heart. I walk with you in comfort. Thank you for taking me along. My health at this stage of life would have never permitted such a journey. You are admired here, from my support at a hot patio this night in AZ. Know, I admire and love you. Always have, always will. Thank you for being a friend to this difficult artistic soul.
