I have been planning this new trip for some time now. It is bittersweet, because I started the plan for a trip with my adventurous granddaughter, Eva. Unfortunately, college, work, and other life hacks got in our way this time, so I decided to just go it alone. It has been three years since I have traveled and I was in need of this visit to Europe.
At the end of my final year of teaching, two new hiking and work friends, Brenda and Pam, asked if they could go. I was excited to share my trip with them and with Pam’s daughter. So four women will be traveling to Italy for some hiking and exploring.
I have made my lists, all reservations are secure except for our train travel. We will be spending a total of just under $400 each for all of our accommodations in some nice hotels and apartments for 10 days. Pretty reasonable!

Candi, I love your spirit. This makes me wish I were a wild woman so that I could join you, but I could never handle the torrid scandal if we went walking in Europe. Some lucky lady needs to step up. It will be a fun time. Dave
