We started the day in the South of France having espresso and breakfast along the Atlantic coast and have ended the day in the sweet village of St. Jean..

St. Jean
We picked up our Camino credential, the girls got their shells; I am carrying mine for the third time.
It was a gift from Tom and Robin Nostrant for my first time on the Camino almost ten years ago. They got it on the Coast of Spain on one of their trips.

We checked into our alberge and got settle.

Eva is giving us Spanish “lessons”, or how not to pronounce words😉. She will be very helpful negotiating menus and reservations. The girls are taking a siesta and I am sitting on the small street in front of our alberge watching the people, looking at our hike in the distance and enjoying the sun and a beer.
The evening meal was very enjoyable and we met people from Denmark, England, Spain, New Zealand, and the US. The family at our alberge are very welcoming and great cooks.

Tomorrow the Pyrenees!
Love, love, love the pictures and your words! It makes us miss the Camino so much! Sending you strength for the Pyrenees 🙂 Buen Camino!
I hear contentment happening….=)

This first set of photos is beautiful. I am thinking, Candi, if you listen to Eva you will be speaking Spanish by the end of this trip and then you can become a guide. I am really looking forward to this hike. And I hope that when you tell the girls that you need a little break that they slow down a bit and rub your calves and shoulders.
You do a fabulous job with photos and stories when you travel! Have a safe and memorable trip!
Of course we were pleased to see your shell again on the Camino. It’s like being there in a small way. Carry on ladies.
