Day 27 Rabanal to Cacabelas

Unfortunately for Nancy, she joined me when I had set up some 15-18 mile days to get to Sarria by the 5th. It is rough to begin your 10 day hiking with these big mileage days. She is doing well, but has a few blisters and sore muscles.

From day one she has become comfortable with walking and talking with people from all over the world and has been introducing me to pilgrims!

Today was road walking. Everyone knows how much I hate road walking but it is such a relief after the hellish downhill. We are waking now in mountains with vineyards. The terroir in the vineyards is now red clay. We enjoyed the day very much and the
