I Cannot Ignore the Call of the Camino…

I have walked approximately 2000 miles on Camino trails. I guess it is yet to be enough. I was planning on doing two shorter Camino‘s this year but as I started planning, the Frances called out to me again.

I turned 75 in April and for some reason it feels different than just being in my 70’s. I feel like I need a long walk to contemplate the fact that the horizon is before me.

The Frances will be a great test of my body, my mind and my soul; as it always has been. I will walk gently and without expectations. I want to see the Camino with new eyes and soak in each moment. Will this be my last 500 mile hike? Maybe…..not.

I am a woman of age reinventing myself in my 70’s. I owned a restaurant for 36 years, was a high school CTE instructor in Culinary Arts, and I’m now looking for my next chapter in life. I am restless. I do know that hiking, travel, and sharing my love of food and wine will play a part in my new adventures.
