Day 5 – Pamplona to Obanos

The early start was a great idea. Lots of open area with little shade. Nothing on the Camino is truly flat and it is easy to be caught up with “oh this stage doesn’t have much elevation!” I don’t think that anyone said that about today. It was a long up hill climb to the top.

I found my Albergue, checked in, did a free load of laundry (washing and drying), which was a bonus. I laid down, went to sleep and slept through the night.

I am a woman of age reinventing myself in my 70’s. I owned a restaurant for 36 years, was a high school CTE instructor in Culinary Arts, and I’m now looking for my next chapter in life. I am restless. I do know that hiking, travel, and sharing my love of food and wine will play a part in my new adventures.

  1. I’m reading Days 4, 5, and 6 together and was so glad that you got a good night’s sleep.
