Day 19 Rest day in Burgos

It feels like I have been here a week. I think it is time to continue. My body definitely needed a rest but I am now anxious to face the meseta.

Burgos is a busy city. The historical area that we are staying in is full of great food and wine, noisy until 11:00 pm at night and the streets are full of families from 6:30 pm until 11:00 pm nightly.

This has been a fun stop but I am ready to get to the countryside again.

I am a woman of age reinventing myself in my 70’s. I owned a restaurant for 36 years, was a high school CTE instructor in Culinary Arts, and I’m now looking for my next chapter in life. I am restless. I do know that hiking, travel, and sharing my love of food and wine will play a part in my new adventures.
