Today was a short day. Debby is still fighting foot problems and I needed to send some more stuff home (yippie…a lighter pack tomorrow!!!!). So we stopped in a larger town that has a post office. Most villages don’t have one so I have even carrying around stuff I haven’t used.
Cafe where we stopped today

Things I wish I would have thought through…
- Bring nothing white.
- iPhone is enough electronics
- iPhone is enough camera on the Camino. There is just not time for anything but point and shoot.
- No sleeping bag in the middle of the summer, just a sleeping sack.
- No down jacket
- Something cool to sleep in that covers your bottom; although I stripped down on the main road yesterday to change into my sun shirt. Shared bathrooms removes any modesty.
- Never get cocky about no blisters😢
Hasta mañana!
Candi, I am so enjoying following your blog and journey! Sorry about the blister. Keep on trucking👣👟
Thanks Rebecca. It is certainly an amazing journey.
Enjoying reading about your journey! Safe Travels!
Candi, I love your summary. I bet by the time you finish this hike you can write a book on going light.
I hate it that you got a damn blister. Maybe take a day off to recover, esp. Debby’s foot. I think, for me, the heat would be the most difficult part. Tracking you on line every morning, with you in spirit. Hugs.
really love your lists (they make me laugh;o). sorry about the blister sister – pad the heck out of it and hope it calluses over soon! How rich you will be upon your return! miss you take care of eachother.
