Day 5. Rest Day in Pamplona

Today everyone in our Camino family moved on. It was strange not to hike today but Willa and Eva wanted a rest day. It is good to know your limits. Since we were in a hostile last night we had to be out early so that was a bit chaotic but all worked out. We had s slight wait for my room. They are staying somewhere else with a friend. Their room took a bit more time.

My hotel is basic and I am on the third floor, so not much rest for the legs. 😉 Plus I guess the WiFi doesn’t reach up here. But the Cafe/Bar is very good.

Eva and Willa spent the day swimming and the park napping (I think recovering from Spanish night life)😉 I explored the city a bit. It is Sunday and not much happening.

This was my day.

Breakfast

The chef
This is the Mayoral Plaza. My hotel is just off of this area.

Tomorrow we return to the trail.

I am a woman of age reinventing myself in my 70’s. I owned a restaurant for 36 years, was a high school CTE instructor in Culinary Arts, and I’m now looking for my next chapter in life. I am restless. I do know that hiking, travel, and sharing my love of food and wine will play a part in my new adventures.
