Day 6 – Pamplona to Puenta la Reina

A long walk. Nearly 17 miles today.

We left at 7 am and the weather wa overcast so a pleasant temperature for the day. That was good because it was open exposure almost the whole day.

These snails look like ornaments on these plants.

Lots of pilgrims on the Camino.

We climbed and climbed to reach Alto del Perdon.

The fields are harvested and farmers are getting them ready for a winter cover crop.

Eva and I had the most spiritual and beautiful massages tonight. The studio is in the basement of our albergue. It was just amazing walking into this evert Eastern environment in Spain.

Then we met Dotty who is here recovering from foot problems.

We are all tired tonight. Tomorrow’s hike is a bit shorter.

I am a woman of age reinventing myself in my 70’s. I owned a restaurant for 36 years, was a high school CTE instructor in Culinary Arts, and I’m now looking for my next chapter in life. I am restless. I do know that hiking, travel, and sharing my love of food and wine will play a part in my new adventures.
