Day 15 Burgos-Healing Day

I have been very lazy. I changed my bandages on my feet which is a struggle as inflexible as I am.

NOTE TO SELF:I should have gone to yoga regularly.

Trying to use folding scissors for surgery with my iPhone camera as my guide was a two-hour job. I had to take a break and lie down after each foot. I am a baby when it comes to things like this. But my feet look and feel better.

Met up with my Camino friend Dotty and we went to lunch, met another pilgrim who was very hot, literally! Burned my armpit!!!

After lunch, we explored part of the cathedral.

The beauty of the cathedrals are never captured in pictures.

My mood is lifting as my feet are healing. I sauntered around Burgos today and definitely felt free of pain! But also feeling a bit disconnected from the Camino. It is time to get moving west.

I am a woman of age reinventing myself in my 70’s. I owned a restaurant for 36 years, was a high school CTE instructor in Culinary Arts, and I’m now looking for my next chapter in life. I am restless. I do know that hiking, travel, and sharing my love of food and wine will play a part in my new adventures.
