Walked today with a four young people today. Oliver is German, Rebecca is from New York, Angel is from China, and our Camino family member from England (he’s Australian born); Jeremy.

We walked together most of the day, stopping for a great lunch and conversation, then making our way into Leon. They were a very caring group of young people to team up with.
Oliver, on the right, is from Germany, and he as offered to take my stones to Crus de Fero and leave them for me. Three white hearts from the beach at home. A small one for my first Camino in 2010 of 110km, a large one for my complete Camino in 2015 of 500 miles and a medium one for this Camino (incomplete) but full of love, sorrow and renewed faith in the human spirit. My goodbye to the Camino.

Today is my last walking day for a few days. We have run out of time to finish all the sections. We will meet Heather (my daughter) and friend, Rebecca, at Sarria and finish the final 110 km together. Maybe we have another day of walking before then. We will look at bus schedules and figure it all out.
I said goodbye until Santiago to our Camino family. We will be moving ahead but will be back in Santiago to fly out as they are finishing. It was a sad day but I do believe we will see them again.
Candice your words of good-bye trigger such emotion in me. YOU have such resilience, and embrace completely the environment, culture, and those around you. You touch everyone with your joyous and humble nature making global community.
This community opens its arms to everyone. It is so reassuring that there is global goodness, kindness and caring.
Every day I am in awe of your stamina and courage undertaking this walk.
Love your thoughts but I am not sure I am living up to them😉
All good things…..=) So grateful for your shares, Candy….technology amazes and keeps us threaded together….thank you….
