Yesterday was an odd day I was feeling a little bit down because I was walking by myself and was not a day to walk by myself. As I started reached the intersection of where two trails were going to go in different directions I see someone familiar walking back, it’s Eva. She’s not feeling the Camino either and so she asked if I would mind if we stopped in the next little village. I had been visualizing staying in a hotel with good Wi-Fi, real towels and sheets, plus, of course, my own bathroom. The village had one albergue domitivo, which always means that it is not the top-of-the-line as far as amenities. It was overcrowded for the one shower and two toilets for all the women. Willa decided to stay back also.
The Camino was completely void of pilgrims except for a few cyclists and an Australian couple that I saw on and off throughout the day.

I really enjoy walking through the small villages as they’re waking up and having my tomato toast with my espresso.
Today was a mixed bag I walked very slow, I walked very fast, I contemplate things, I close my mind to things, I felt that this part of the Camino was hard, l felt like it was exhilarating, I felt like I was flying and I felt like I was being dragged down by my pack.
It was a long finish to the day. I remember that from before. But I arrived, bypassed beer and snacks, checked into my albergue that I had already walked past (damn), washed my socks and went to sleep for 14 hours.
