Santiago Goodbyes

It is good to be back in Santiago. The friends are gathering and it feels like the Camino is ending. We are sharing stories, words of wisdom and cherished memories.

Dotty leaves for Finisterre tomorrow morning. She is a woman warrior.
My heart filled when my “Danish sister” walked up! We all started together and I somehow knew we would be in Santiago together at the end, even though our journeys took different paths.

I am a woman of age reinventing myself in my 70’s. I owned a restaurant for 36 years, was a high school CTE instructor in Culinary Arts, and I’m now looking for my next chapter in life. I am restless. I do know that hiking, travel, and sharing my love of food and wine will play a part in my new adventures.
