O Porrino to Rondondela – 9.5 miles
Just when I thought that maybe I would carry my own pack… I think I threw caution to the wind and walked a five mile an hour pace yesterday. Yes, I am a slow learner! Yes, I’m stubborn! Today I’m paying for it. So goes the lessons of the Camino.

Today was a day of a lot of climbing and a lot of steep descents. We are in the Galicia region of Spain, which I know from past experience, is one hill after another. So far it hasn’t proven my memory wrong. So with my tendon acting up, it was not a good day for hiking. But I made it to my destination.

Cuttle Fish Festival here. I am missing it to rest my heel, but Laura and Ian are out sampling the delicacy.
