Today I walked through some beautiful forests most of the day. I left the city with a couple from Germany. We have been seeing each other for many days and exchanging greetings. It was nice to have some time to visit.
Then I went on my way as they stopped to read some signs. Next stop for me was lunch where Laura and Ian were just finishing up by the time I got my order in. They moved on and I met two young women, Aleks from the UK and Lucienne from Germany. We spent the rest of the day visiting about our lives, travels, and womanhood. lucienne’s friend has bad blisters so has been bussing. We are staying in the same albergue so I am giving her my tevas and a small day pack to see if she can walk the rest of the way.
We are getting to know more pilgrims. It is beginning to feel like a community. It make sense since on the Frances it took this long to start making relationships. I am feeling that I am not ready for this to end. I guess that is the advantage of the Camino Frances; you have three more weeks
