Day 4. Hospital to Sardiñeiro

I really enjoyed today. There was a slight wind so in addition to the birds singing us through the forest there was also the rattling of pinecones in the trees. It was quite meditative.

Here the Caminos split. We are going to Finisterre then to Muxia. The other trail is for Muxia to Finisterre.

The majority of our day was walking through the forest of Pine and eucalyptus. I’m amazed at the vast planted tree plantations there are in this area. In the distance, we heard a chainsaw working so obviously they were doing some harvesting. Karen is on forester high alert!

I am a woman of age reinventing myself in my 70’s. I owned a restaurant for 36 years, was a high school CTE instructor in Culinary Arts, and I’m now looking for my next chapter in life. I am restless. I do know that hiking, travel, and sharing my love of food and wine will play a part in my new adventures.
