There are so many stories on the Camino. Each Pilgrim has a reason for walking. A lot of the time it is because of a tremendous loss or sadness. Sometimes it’s just because they saw the movie and it intrigued them. It is for sure that the Camino has a lesson to teach us all, but sometimes it isn’t as evident as other times.

I wouldn’t describe my Camino as a peaceful journey yet. But today I did find a rhythm that felt comfortable and reassuring in the rolling hills of spent sunflowers.

When we arrived at our albergue our hospiteria was visably upset. She was on the phone with the hospital. Her brother closed up their cafe last night and left on his motorcycle. He was hit by a truck. He was in very serious condition and she was so worried. She has spent the night at the hospital but had to leave to open the Albergue. We felt so sad for her.
I was tired tonight from a few sleepless nights so skipped dinner and went to bed early. Even though it was a short day, I was ready for some sleep. There was a fiesta in town and the celebration went on into the early morning with a few partiers still on the streets at 7 am as we left town.
Your walk continues to inspire me. The good, the bad, the in-between!
