Day 11 Lugo to Ferreira

I love Galicia. Walking through the hills today felt like being home. I loved sharing this area with Josh.

Our bodies and minds are in sync today, and we flew through the day. There was a lot of road walking, but they were back roads. Today was quite pleasant except for the pounding our feet take walking this much on pavement. It was overcast most of the day which certainly helped us make it the 16 miles.

We arrived at our Albergue early today; 2:30 pm. That gave us time to relax on the patio and take a siesta before dinner.

Tonight we had a group dinner with Camino friends, old and new. A truly delightful evening.

I am a woman of age reinventing myself in my 70’s. I owned a restaurant for 36 years, was a high school CTE instructor in Culinary Arts, and I’m now looking for my next chapter in life. I am restless. I do know that hiking, travel, and sharing my love of food and wine will play a part in my new adventures.
