FYI the new carry-on and personal item size is serious business with Icelandair. The scales are out, the new size board is being used and there is no allowing a ½” outside the lines. Somehow the counter person said I was good to go with my pack. I know it is right at 21” 🤭 so I am glad they gave me the green light.
I had a great flight into Iceland. I was in the back of the bus as usual, but had an empty seat between my partner and I. She was on her was to Ireland for a quick trip meet-up with her friend. They will explore the Dingle Peninsula, where my wild walking women friends and I hiked in 2021.
The last leg of the trip was a bit more grueling, because it was my bed time! I couldn’t sleep except for one hour. I arrived in Copenhagen a bit groggy but as soon as I saw Maria I got my second wind.
We spent the afternoon with lots of catching up and a feast of Danish and Spanish Cheeses from Lajarón, Spain.
Olivia came home after an interview for an internship, her next step after her graduation from high school this month.
After a beautiful, cooperatively made shrimp dinner, I was able to stay awake until 7:30 pm local time. Not bad for being up for 22 hours!
Candi, sounds like you did your homework with the packing….. that would be tough if you had been over sized. We are glad your trip has started off so well. Have fun and be safe! Love D & J
