Today turned out a little bit longer than I thought, but it was a “ brilliant” day. (I’ve been hanging out with the Brits🥰) Not once did we have to take our ring gear out of our packs. We were in wooded areas so the sun was not a problem most of the day and there were several really nice cafés, crowded yet manageable.
in one of the cafés I offered to share my table with two pelligrinas. We had a great chat, and I was able to share some KT tape for a strained foot tendon.
As I was getting ready to leave I heard my name called and when I turned around there was Madelyn, a young woman I met on one of the first few days of the literal! We hadn’t seen each other for many days.
I’ve had the privilege of meeting an incredible array of strong, intuitive, and intelligent women on this trip. We’ve encountered students, psychologists, judges, attorneys, business executives, teachers, tech professionals, and business owners, all embarking on empowering journeys. Some are between jobs, while others are retired or on vacation. Our conversations consistently reinforce the notion that we share more similarities than differences.
I made it to my Albergue early. In fact, I was the first one in so I had the shower all to myself with no lines. It is in a quiet area so I just organized my travel for home and packed for my last two days on the Camino.
