The road way…crazy drunks and full sunWe slept in a bit because 21 km seems like a short walk now. When we woke this am we looked at the floor and it was covered with little ants! We were very glad to leave this albergue.
All night we kept hearing music; in the morning we hear music; we walk to the next town we hear music…all night fiesta. People were still drinking and dancing at 7:30 am. The streets were full of crazy party goers whom all get into cars😳 and we are walking right on those roads. The Camino had two choices today, the Rio or the Road. We took the Rio.

We are in a new region, Palencia, which means new cuisine. I have to say that most pilgrim food is mediocre but filling. Really too much food when it is hot. Neither of us are wasting away but our appetites are small. I think the beer drinking (which is perfect after the heat of the day) is sustaining our calorie consumption 😎(which is an extra 1500 a day according to my Garmin). But today we found a wonderful lunch spot. It was perfect in all ways; family owners that are restoring the grandfather’s pigeon property.

And they have a cafe with outstanding local dishes

Ended my day with my first blister of the Camino

Ouch.
It is minor compared to so many others.
Wonder if the 7:30 a.m. party goers were Grandparents,…….😊
hope your blister doesn’t give u any more grief……
