Day 7 Puenta la Reina to Estella.

I definitely have had better days. I might even have day dreamed about flying home.

There were so many highlights but my body took too much of my attention.

A full day of climbing.

We are in the Navarre Region of wine country. Watching the terroir change between vineyards makes me so curious about flavor profiles of the wines made from these grapes.

One of the highlights, right when I needed it, was a wonderful gazpacho! It restored me. The beer helped also.

Another nice part of my day.

I moade it and was able to walk to dinner.

I am a woman of age reinventing myself in my 70’s. I owned a restaurant for 36 years, was a high school CTE instructor in Culinary Arts, and I’m now looking for my next chapter in life. I am restless. I do know that hiking, travel, and sharing my love of food and wine will play a part in my new adventures.

Today’s photos were beautiful (though a couple apparently didn’t download, just blank spaces)…..I could see the countryside changing right along with you!
I could also ‘feel’ how good that stream felt on the tootsies!

  4. Sounds like a tough day, but I continue to be filled with admiration for you and everyone who does the walk. The photos are beautiful.

  5. My body is experiencing sympathy pains….=) Keep on, keepin’ on…..love the positives you see along the way. Wine country, especially!
