Day 12 – Vital to Santiago (12 miles)

I’ve had a hard time starting this day’s blog. I haven’t quite sorted out why that is, or even how I feel about the walk in. I think that it’s because it does n’t feel like it’s complete, enough, or that I’ve had enough time to experience a Camino; an amuse-bouche

Santiago feels like “home”. But I am missing my granddaughter, Eva.

Camino Frances 2019

The night ended perfectly when Laura and I listened to local musicians and watch the love of Spanish pilgrims.

I am a woman of age reinventing myself in my 70’s. I owned a restaurant for 36 years, was a high school CTE instructor in Culinary Arts, and I’m now looking for my next chapter in life. I am restless. I do know that hiking, travel, and sharing my love of food and wine will play a part in my new adventures.

  1. Food looks Delish, and you all look really good. Such an accomplishment to be proud of. I have a feeling Candi is not through with Camino.

  2. Congratulations! 🍾🎈 you did it again.
I enjoy following you, wish I was on the trail the past two years. Next year for sure I walked this year through you. Thank-you !
