Day 2 – Borda to Burquette

13 miles

Today was challenging again. This time it was twice as long. There were so similarities to the Primativo.

Lots of climbing and lots of downhills. Truly beautiful scenery.

Today the sheep, cows and horse grazed on the sides of the road.

A little too close for my comfort!

I am tired tonight so I am going to sign off with saying that today I had to dig deep to keep going. There were moments I felt like all was perfectly in sync, moments of wanting to call a cab and moments of complete gratitude. Today I was solo all day. Perhaps I got too deep into my head.

Good night from Spain.

I am a woman of age reinventing myself in my 70’s. I owned a restaurant for 36 years, was a high school CTE instructor in Culinary Arts, and I’m now looking for my next chapter in life. I am restless. I do know that hiking, travel, and sharing my love of food and wine will play a part in my new adventures.

  1. Alone all day…and in your head. Head vs terrain…the horse was a piece of cake! ❤️

  2. Be kind to yourself, take a day off when you feel that way… thinking of you…

  3. Thank you for taking the time to share your journey even though you’re tired. The scenery is so calming and I can almost smell the fresh air through the photos.
