Day 7 -A Guarda to Viladesuso

Another wonderful day. I really like Portugal, but I love Spain. The rain gear didn’t come out once and again the hike weaved through villages, along highways, beside the ocean and through forests.

I spent a brief walk with a young man from Germany. We talked about life, politics, AI, and him taking a year off to travel. Stops are now filled with quick catch ups with familiar faces. It feels like a Camino.

In bunk beds again tonight. The Albergue is very nice.

I am a woman of age reinventing myself in my 70’s. I owned a restaurant for 36 years, was a high school CTE instructor in Culinary Arts, and I’m now looking for my next chapter in life. I am restless. I do know that hiking, travel, and sharing my love of food and wine will play a part in my new adventures.
