Hitting the Trail Again…Maybe Ireland

Featured Post

Two new (and younger) faces to Wild Women Walking…Priya Lindeen and Vini Samuel. Hopefully you recognize those 70+ year old veterans…Candi Bachtell and Debby Hoyt!

Fingers Crossed, WWW will be Walking the Dingle Trail in Ireland in late July.

After my 2020 trip on the Portuguese Camino had to be cancelled, I was certain that I would be walking the Camino Santiago in 2021. This year my Camino stars didn’t align for numerous reasons (besides Covid19). My friend, Vini, is turning 50 this year, her sister, Priya is turning 40 and Debby and I are just barely in our 70’s (distance hiking time is ticking!). With all these special ages, of course we have to hike somewhere.

I have always wanted to hike in Ireland and we are going to try our best to make it happen. Tickets are purchased. We had a delightful breakfast, with our innkeeper sharing her some delicious rhubarb sauce and a wonderful warm rice pudding with lingonberry sauce and banana bread a long with the traditional Irish…

It feels like rain…

I woke up this am to cloudy skies and lips that look like I just had a Botox treatment. As you can imagine, the cloudy sky’s are a positive thing. After a charming night at our bed and breakfast we were on our way to the best day of hiking. The rain renewed our energy…
